Opportunities for NCFDD Engagement and Faculty Coaching

Dear Colleagues,

As we enter the busy middle stretch of the semester, we write to remind you of two valuable development and coaching resources available to all ĢƵ faculty.

NCFDD

ĢƵ is an Institutional Member of NCFDD – an independent professional development, training, and mentoring community of faculty, postdocs, and graduate students from over 450 colleges and universities. NCFDD is dedicated to helping academics thrive by improving research productivity, teaching effectiveness, and (most elusive of all) work-life balance. You can activate your personal membership account on the , click on “Become a Member” and select ĢƵ from the drop down list.

In the past, many ĢƵ faculty have benefited from NCFDD’s and , which are available for free to anyone with an NCFDD account. A call for applications to participate in NCFDD’s and will follow later this semester.

Faculty Coaching Program

Faculty coaching offers confidential, goal-oriented support to help faculty members navigate the challenges of academic life. Christine Moskell, PhD, an experienced coach specializing in faculty development, offers one-hour sessions focusing on topics such as time management and task prioritization, developing habits and routines for writing goals, and leadership transitions. Faculty members interested in coaching should to set up a short exploratory meeting with Christine.
