My research primarily centers on the development of internalizing and externalizing psychopathology, problematic substance use, and sleep disturbances during late childhood, adolescence, and emerging or young adulthood. This encompasses the examination of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, and somatization, as well as behaviors such as excessive alcohol consumption, cannabis use, and substance use that impact psychological, social, or physical well-being, in addition to sleep-related disturbances and issues. I am additionally interested in examining socio-ecological risk and protective factors, resilience, flourishing, and other transdiagnostic characteristics such as emotion dysregulation, disinhibition, and impulsivity.
